At this small, boutique firm, I worked on process improvement projects for a variety of companies including a railroad, a health insurance company, and a chemical company.

At Advanced Fibre Communications, I worked with phone companies. We provided equipment and engineering services to support their communications networks in the last mile - specifically high-speed internet, video and voice services.

At Thomas and Betts, I worked with phone company engineers in the outside plant space. I supported their use of Thomas and Betts equipment. This stuff hangs from polls, is buried in the ground, or is housed in man holes. And sometimes I had to hang from polls, dig in the ground or crawl in a manhole too. But all in support of helping my customers keep the phones, internet and video running.

Danaher is all about efficient manufacturing and six sigma quality. As a product manager at a Danaher division, I worked as a liaison between customers and our engineering team to design products that helped them solve their telecommunications outside plant challenges. I was responsible for pricing those products and managing their life-cycle. I also served on kaizen teams to streamline production and in the lab to test our product performance against our competitors.
