Penetration testing and vulnerability scanning of web applications

- Implementing scripts automating commercial and open-source vulnerability scanning tools for continuous security monitoring of HyTrust virtual appliances.

- Conducting penetration testing and attack surface analysis.- Developing python scripts to automate open-source pen-testing and vulnerability analysis tools in VMware vCenter cloud testbed.

• Research on Multimedia and Network Security, security of multimedia transmission over wireless and wired networks, Cloud/IoT Security.

• Set up and implementation of open source Network Access Control project, "Packetfence", in an isolated test-bed environment. • Test-bed setup included; FreeRadius Server, Juniper SRX Firewall, Cisco Swithes, Snort/Surricate IDS, OpenVAS/Nessus Vulnerability Scanners, Active Directory, SSSD, Kerberos, Samba and Winbind.• Implemented a tool in Perl with a simple GUI that facilitates imaging/wiping & transferring of multiple external hard drives that are connected through a USB docking station. This tool is intended to be used in the department for archiving and wiping infected employee harddrives.

• Implemented an Android application "App Locker" for Smart Monitors running on Android. It was a security app for administrators to lock the selected apps from guest users.• Evaluated SEAndroid and its policies.

• Worked with "Intel Information Risk and Security"(IIRS), "System Network and Application Protection"(SNAP) Team on multiple projects such as; - Automated Evaluation of Android app security against OWASP Top Ten. - Architectural evaluation of third party security products to be purchased. - Participated in internal code reviews, web-application vulnerability scans.

• Wrote TestNG scripts in IntelliJ IDE to test proprietary Assetworks Software "AiM"• Developed custom Java programs in J2EE environment with a group of software developers• Debugged problems occurred during the nightly builds.

• Built custom J2EE applications, designed and integrated databases with Java Desktop Applications using Apache Derby and MS SQL Server.• Developed dynamic web pages using Coldfusion Markup Language

• Worked on setup of Certificate Authority and Timestamp Server. Wrote Java applet for document signing with Smart Cards attached through USB.
