As the Editor of Family Circle, Diabetic Living and special issues for Better Homes & Gardens I am constantly challenged to be innovative, relevant and inspiring for our readers.

As the founding editor of SBS Feast I created and executed the concept for the magazine that brought SBS food programming to the printed page. My team and I worked with talented chefs, recipe developers, writers and photographers to create a monthly newsstand magazine and Ipad app that celebrated the fantastic breadth of food and culture we have in Australia. We loved discovering the stories behind the food and bringing our readers features that investigated cultures, ethnicities, traditions and of course, fabulous food. Feast consistently increased readership in a tough category and in its final Emma readership audit enjoyed an increase of 17% - beating not only the food category but also the magazine category in general.

During this time I worked on new business development with existing and potential clients who were looking for a custom publishing solution to add to their marketing suite. These ranged from small quarterly magazines to monthly consumer magazines. I enjoyed learning about each client's brand, their desired outcomes and coming up with a publishing solution that created a dialogue with their customers and a solid return on investment.

As the Editorial Director I worked with editors and their staff within the organisation to ensure that their custom publications were meeting client expectations and continuing to evolve. I enjoyed this role that gave me an overview of the business and the chance to manage a team of 25+ editors, sub-editors and designers to create magazines that fulfilled the many varied needs of our clients.
