* I did research on the production and recycling streams of gold, a key component of electronics. The research is an overview of the worldwide gold waste and recycling streams. It highlights important actionable social and environmental impacts. The research is done as part of the Dutch Gold Covenant, a collaboration between goldsmiths, jewelers, recyclers, NGOs, electronics companies, trade unions, and the Dutch government.* I assisted in the organization of and research for a think-tank on smart tracking of electronics, such as block chain. This technology offers interesting perspectives to track different components within a phone. This make the "Phone as a Service" business model viable, where the production company keeps ownership of the phone, which creates an incentive for producing long-lasting electronics. Getting them from school, cooking, eating, bringing to sport class, nap time, and fun activities afterwards. All this while teaching them English in an intuitive and fun way.The situation was difficult at first because these children were very independent, but after some talks with their parents, a bit of understanding and love, we all became good buddies.
