The arts have always been an important part of my life. I partnered with my friend Andie Ashe to create Primed because we want everyone to feel what it's like to be an artist! We create art kits that come with everything you need to make a painting at home. They include all your materials (brushes, canvas, paints etc) as well as instructions and some educational information on art history. Andie, who has her BFA in drawing and painting, creates the artwork and we work together on marketing, sales strategies, financing and everything else you need to run a startup!

As Director I am responsible for the day to day operation of the center, ensuring satisfaction among clients, motivating staff, and planning long-term strategy. In addition to my administrative work, I am happy that I have been able to continue working one-on-one with students training brains!• Create marketing objectives, identify advertising and marketing opportunities.• Explain LearningRx to potential clients, customize programs for new students, and follow clients through lifecycle from initial assessment to graduation.• Manage and motivate team of eight Grain Trainers and two admin staff. • Work in coordination with other Atlanta office and LearningRx to amend marketing and promotional materials to fit Alpahretta's needs.

LearningRx specializes in one-on-one brain training. As a brain trainer I work face-to-face with my students, performing fun and challenging mental activities to target cognitive skills.• Maintain communication with multiple families about progress through the program.• Develop individual plans for each student targeting their specific weaknesses and goals. • Work completely independently. Responsible for scheduling and implementing the program.

As Director of Business Development I am responsible for identifying areas of growth and planning strategies to bring the magic of Brain Training to as many people as possible!

• Prepared press releases and communicated with newspapers around the country. • Wrote and designed quarterly newsletters and analyzed effectiveness of newsletters through Constant Contact. • Enhanced facebook and twitter social networking accounts. Implemented successful strategies to increase followers.

• Wrote programs including synopses and critiques of featured operas. Distributed to over 10,000 patrons. • Analyzed the effectiveness of outreach, publicity, and advertisements using Tessitura software.• Created lesson plans and opera guides aligned to Georgia Education standards and used by teachers statewide.

• Motivated and engaged students through development of customized incentive plans. • Developed tracking spreadsheets to monitor individual student progress. Modified weekly lesson-plans based on data analysis in order to meet yearlong goals of passing 80% of math standards and improving reading level by two years. • Wrote grants and secured over $1000 in funding for classroom supplies and projects.

• Created training program for new hires. Supervised 30 part-time employees.• Revised incentive program to use more desirable/less costly bonuses. • Met goal of 60% participation rate. Helped reach millennium challenge goal of $376 million through alumni donations.
