Big Hurt Enterprises provided management and marketing services for professional athletes and sports commentators.Sales & Marketing CoordinatorRecruited to manage the marketing for six personalities/athletes/sportscasters: Kirk Herbstreet (ESPN), Frank Sanders (Arizona Cardinals), Brian McCray (Cubs), Mark Grace (Cubs), Jason Bere (White Sox), and Al Martin (Pirates). Oversaw marketing for Evander Holyfield and other clients to help them develop their brands. Brokered endorsement deals with athletic dealers, booked appearances and speaking engagements, and developed/managed endorsement programs with corporate sponsors. Clients included Reebok, Nike, No Fear, Rawlings, Metrex, ESPN, Fox News Chicago, Sporting News, Ameritech, Cellular One, 7-11, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, and the New York Mets.Notable contributions:• Brokered an endorsement deal for Brian McCray and 7-11 which included a clothing/food drives and a meet and greet with Mr. McCray.• Brokered a 6-figure endorsement deal for Brian McCray to endorse Rawlings baseball bats and for Rawlings to pay Brian McCray for performance.• Named Special Events & Corporate Relations Officer for the Frank Thomas Charitable Foundation in 1998.o Solicited funds for children’s health, education, and sports programs.o Contributed to determining beneficiaries for approximately $1 million/year in gifts from the Foundation.o Researched, evaluated, and organized annual events including The Frank Thomas Charitable Foundation Golf Outing, Black Tie Dinner Gala and other foundation events, press conferences, and Board meetings.
