My role was to create sales and marketing income. In addition to my position, I also explored business development ideas to help grow the Union financial income. Attendance at conferences and meetings, both internal and external. It was my role to assist in key events throughout the year, for example the annual Freshers Fair, End of Year Balls, and other key and special events. I was expected to portray a positive image of the Students’ Union at all times, both internally and externally, by displaying high standards of service, integrity, punctuality, politeness and professionalism. I have been proactive, flexible and have an ability to priorities a varied and demanding portfolio of work.Duties:Merchandising & Sales•Developing the range of branded merchandise sold by the Students’ Union Shop.•Sourcing and building a relationship with a quality supplier to keep pricing competitive.•Undertaking product research to make sure that the products being sold are right for LSBU students.•Working with the Communications Team to advertise merchandise and promote sales and product launches.•Managing income through merchandising, meeting assigned and agreed targets.•Developing marketing tools to improve the sale of merchandise.•Managing merchandise stock level

Responsible for the prestigious International Design Awards,The Society of British & International Design - SBID - (formally The Society of British Interior Design) is the UK body for architecture and the interior design profession. SBID provides support for members and partners worldwide by setting standards for education in interior design as well as professional conduct, CPD and training, technical services, publications and events both in the UK and overseas. The Society has three principle aims: education, professional conduct and sustainability in both interior design and construction. The founders are instrumental in raising the profile of interior design in the UK, Europe, the Americas and the Middle East. In the UK, SBID has regional Directors supporting the national body.
