Having only been in my new position for a short while, I am already loving the challenge, and the change of culture. I am looking forward to my new responsibilities as Group Development Trainer. I will be focussing initially on sales and skills development, including delivering Fusion CAD training to new and existing Showroom Advisers, Consultants and refresher courses for any current CAD users across the group.I am also looking forward to delivering modules on our in house CRM system, Merlin, and Delivering Sales Through Service modules.I am able to network with some of the best people our company has to offer, and I am encouraged to think outside the box and challenge myself constantly. I really have been able to spread my wings.

I can honestly say, Travis Perkins has been the best company I have worked for in my working career. I am encouraged to be an individual, to work hard and enjoy time with my collegues, while constantly focussing on my customers and the service they receive. My day to day duties included running the showroom single handedly, maintaining relationships with both small builders and major companies, ordering, picking and arranging deliveries of sanitary wear, while also having the added bonus of being able to manage a bathroom project from build stage to completion. I was able to use my CAD skills to the maximum, and I loved nothing more than submitting a plan to a customer and seeing their face light up. I adored helping them to build the dream. I worked towards monthly sales targets and during my time with the branch, I had only not made target 2 months in that period. I loved the variety that my job offered me and look forward to staying with Travis Perkins, and seeing where the company will take me during my working life.
