Analysis Role (August 2016 – To Date): Responsible for the development of business and functional requirement document for a Retail Suite Management System. Functional/Nonfunctional requirement deliverables includes Functional Hierarchies, ERDs, Process Model, Program Specification and Design recommendations (UI & System). Providing a bridge between client and developers, to make them understand the business issues and data challenges of client’s organization. Maintaining other business documents which include Business Functions checklist, Interfaces and Batch process checklists, Database dictionary, Database VSDs etc. according to new changes. Conducting business training sessions for the new project members. Performing UAT/System testing along with developing test scenarios, scripts and bug reporting. Providing post-production support for system issues, including investigation and follow-up.Lead SQA Engineer Role (Jan 2012 – To Date): Managing a team of QA resources by monitoring them, assigning them tasks and keeping track of their progress. Review and modification of test specification documents prepared by other resources to keep the artifacts up-to-date so that bugs are identified earlier during the testing phase. Preparing test data scripts during functional and performance testing. Managing project related schema changes and responsible for committing them in code repository. Involved in hiring and mentoring of new QAs. Preparing and maintaining central test servers and database for the testing team. Responsible to maintain other project related documentation i.e. quarterly bug report, performance comparison statistical report, database comparison report, deployment documents etc. Involved in providing online assistance to team in UK when they are performing release /patch upgrade. Involved in providing post-production support in investigating issues on live client environments.

Lead SQA Engineer Role (Jan 2012 – To Date): Around 10 years of experience as a Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer, with experience of performing manual web based and client-server application testing. Experienced in all phases of Software Testing Lifecycle with expertise in Integration, System, Functional, User Interface, Regression and Smoke Testing.  Managing a team of QA resources by monitoring them, assigning them tasks and keeping track of their progress. Review and modification of test specification documents prepared by other resources to keep the artifacts up-to-date so that bugs are identified earlier during the testing phase. Preparing test data scripts during functional and performance testing. Managing project related schema changes and responsible for committing them in code repository. Executing different performance testing activities to optimize the usability and accessibility of the application using different automated tools. This also involves documenting and comparing the results. Managing bug repository using PVCS tracker tool/ Team Foundation Server.  Involved in hiring and mentoring of new QAs. Preparing and maintaining central test servers and database for the testing team. Responsible to maintain other project related documentation i.e. quarterly bug report, performance comparison statistical report, database comparison report, deployment documents etc. Involved in providing online assistance to team in UK when they are performing release /patch upgrade. Involved in providing post-production support in investigating issues on live client environments.

Along with all the following responsibilities, below are additional tasks which I performed under this role: Involved in writing SQL data correction and patch update scripts. Involved in installation of the application and providing support during and after the deployment. Involved in maintaining and writing deployment document, patch content document, UI check lists, change control checklist etc. Involved in training junior resources.

 Developed Test Cases according to new product specifications and development. Wrote test cases for smoke, functional, GUI, regression and system testing. Executed manual test cases and verified results with expected results. Performed smoke, functional, GUI, system, regression and user acceptance testing. Identified, analyzed and reported bugs found during various phases of testing. Discussed defect resolutions with developers and business analysts. Developed and executed automated scripts with IBM Functional Tester 8.0, to simulate the smoke testing of the application. Developed and performed load testing using automated and custom coded web test scripts of Visual Studio Team System for various scenarios.
