I introduced and developed a regular course performance auditing process to ensure there were regular action plans rooted in statistics to improve student performance. This was monitored through regular course and department meetings to share progress and best practice.My success in this role was contributing to the College being graded as “Outstanding” and being recognized as one of the best in the country. My duties in this role were alongside my course leadership and teaching responsibilities for Business and Economics. As part of a small close-knit team comprising of Curriculum Managers, Student Services Managers and Directors of Learning, I was accountable for interviewing forthcoming students, providing advice and guidance to them on suitable courses. Performance appraisals ratings and positive feedback from tutors and parents confirmed my strong performance in this role. Show less

In my first leadership role, I directed the largest vocational course in the area. This involved leading the teaching team and co-ordinating assessment methods and student progress. I worked closely with the Head of Department and Head of Faculty. I was responsible for improving the proportion of high grades achieved, introducing a greater variety of assessment methods and an improved grade tracking process.
