Australian Muslim Women's Centre for Human Rights (AMWCHR) advocates for the rights of Muslim women through our programs, casework, research, publications and consultancy.We believe that Muslim women must be the impetus for change in their status as citizens. We take a non-religious, non-sectarian approach to our work and apply a social justice lens to it. As one of the leading voices on Muslim women’s rights in Australia, we support a vision of Islam at its most progressive, immediate and pertinent to the challenges that Muslim women face.

As Co-Director my some of my key responsibilities included:• Developing the organisation's multi-year strategy to grow and scale our impact• Managing and coordinating the National Spokesperson Network as well as issue and location-specific Networks consisting for 200+ spokespeople across the country• Developing and delivering media training for spokespeople from grassroots movements to high-level non-profit executives• Providing media pitching and interview preparation support to spokespeople includingdeveloping strong messages for media (over 12,000 syndicated news stories secured)• Managing the fundraising targets and the operational budget of the organisation• Managing and maintaining philanthropic partnerships through regular project reporting andacquittals• Hiring, onboarding, training and managing new staff

The Economic Media Centre is shifting the economic story in the Australian media by amplifying grassroots voices with an ambitious vision for a fair and inclusive economy.We work to build the media capacity of people from diverse backgrounds to engage in media debates to secure more inclusive policies.

Responsible for developing and executing the organisation's communications and media strategy. Lead the communications team to produce content for internal and external audiences. Key media contact for reactive and proactive media pitches and requests. Provide media training to participants in campaigning fellowships and strategic communications and messaging advice to media spokespeople for the organisation.

Switchboard Victoria is a community based not for profit organisation that provides a peer driven, support service for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and gender diverse, intersex, queer, asexual (LGBTIQA+) communities and their allies, friends, support workers and families.Part of the QTIPoC committee and the Fundraising & Communications committee.

Part of the Policy and Communications team. Provide strategic communications advice to the organisation and the relevant spokespeople. Compile media stories for the fortnightly eNewsletter, daily media monitoring digest, and help monitor the social media channels. Proactively pitch stories to media with the aim to achieve CHP's strategic goals that call for greater investment in social housing. Key contact for media requests.

Campaigns and communications consultant for a variety of progressive and social service organisations such as education unions, aged care peak bodies and national homelessness and housing campaigns. Included managing and monitoring media stories and providing communications advice to clients when issues or major stories hit the media. Helped draft messaging guides and wrote media releases that were pitched to relevant local and national news outlets.

Part of a team responsible for research services and administration within the school of Global, Urban and Social Studies (GUSS) in the College of Design and Social Context. GUSS currently has two research centres: the Centre for Urban Research (CUR) and Social and Global Studies Centre (SGSC). The primary function of the role is to co-ordinate the pre-award and post award grant and contract processes for the School, provide Secretariat support to the CUR Executive Committee (and SGSC Executive Committee if necessary), support higher degree by research students that are applying for conference, fieldwork and travel funding, and perform ad hoc administrative duties to research staff and academics within the School.

Part of the Pre-Award team in the Research & Innovation Portfolio (R&I). Reviewing competitive research grant proposals for eligibility and compliance. Coordinator for the two Category 1 Australian Research Council (ARC) Schemes: Linkage Projects funding scheme, which provides research funding for academics and industry partners, and Discovery Indigenous, which provides research funding for Indigenous researchers and their teams in Australia. Creating workshops for Early Career Academics on how to accurately cost and capture a project budget. Co-managing and publishing the Research Office's fortnightly "Grant Seeker" newsletter which highlights new and relevant funding opportunities for potential researchers.

Assistant Grants Officer at Research, Innovation & Commercialisation (RIC) under the APPII team (ARC, Philanthropic, Primary Industries, and Internal grants) reading and reviewing grant proposals for compliance and eligibility during the Australian Research Council's (ARC) major funding round for Discovery Projects, DECRAs, and Linkage Projects.

Assisting customers with legal and medical textbooks and equipment, receiving invoices and transfers of stock, liasing with other Co-op stores nationwide and general floor duty.

Editor-in-Chief for the annual magazine publication at St. Hilda's College at the University of Melbourne. Managed a team of 12, edited pages, liaised with administration, and contacted printing companies to publish a professional magazine in a timely manner.
