Aliya-Jasmine is a multi media journalist and her work as a TV host and writer/producer have spanned the genres of news, documentaries, sports, and entertainment. Her recent stories for NBC News focus on the intersectionality between race, social justice, and environmental issues around Los Angeles county. AJ was on-the-ground in Haiti after the devastating earthquake for The Discovery Channel; in South Sudan after the civil war for a documentary on Girls Rights for MTV; and spearheaded an environmental documentary into the Great Bear Rainforest to investigate a controversial rainforest which gained international attention. She has also worked on shows for E! News, Bravo, MTV News, TSN, the NHL Network, the NFL Network, the hit talk show 1 Girl 5 Gays on Logo TV, and was part of CTV's Olympics Broadcast team for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.
