I was attending orientation to become a volunteer at Phoenix Children's Hospital when I had my "ah ha!" moment. It was in this moment of surreal realization that it became clear to me that I was meant to work in a hospital setting making a difference in the lives of oncology patients. This lead to my decision to go back to school, earn a bachelors in exercise and wellness and apply for (and get accepted, whew!) the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at Northern Arizona University Phoenix Biomedical Campus. In the last semester of my schooling a completed a residency in lymphedema management, which included completing a CLT course. I graduated in May, 2018 from NAU with my CLT certification and am now an OTR. When I am not entrenched in career based pursuits, I spend time with my husband and 14 year old son. I love attending weekly trivia with my friends, and Friday night dinners with my parents. I am a team oriented individual who loves inter-professional collaboration. hey
