WEEKLY PROGRAM (DARLING & DAM DAMA DAM) FOR EXPRESS NEWS (2011-2012) Darling: it’s a political satire show, where host “Khalid Abass Dar” enacts a double role. One is Dar (a Journalist) and the other is Darling (as a common Pakistani), Dar and Darling discuss Pakistan’s Socio-political issues and try to come up with a solution every time. Dam Dama Dam: a hardcore masala with all flavours of showbiz, it had weekly updates from hollywood, bollywood and lollywood. Also featured packages on music and other arts. SPECIAL PROGRAM (GULLU KI IFTARIYAAN) EXPRESS NEWS (2011)Gullu ki Iftariyaan: this 30 episode program was aired in RAMADAN 2011 where Abid Kashmiri “Gullu” a local foodie, gets a chance to Iftaar with top politicians & celebrities of Pakistan. He chats in his own “desi style” and discovers their domestic life, how they prepare for aftaar and thier social & religious views. DARLING SONGS (2012) Darling Songs: Have written more than 50 songs for program Darling (Parody) , It is the segment which has given Express News the highest rating over the last two and a half years.

Have produced & directed more than 300 TV programs (weekly) for Pakistan’s leading terrestrial channel ATV/APLUS.Hollywood Sequels: conceived & directed this program to give an insight into the best ever sequels made in the history of Cinema. Hollywood Sequels was aired successfully for more than one year and had a huge fan following.( weekly, 50 episodes) ATV Eid Show 2010: directed this big event, organized a grand musical night with Fariha Pervaiz and in the second half there was an All Pakistan Eid Mushaira with the biggest names of the poet’s arena today. Hadd Ho Gai Season 3: was a socio-political program which revolved around the current affairs of our country. (Once a week, 13 episodes) Ghalib Musical Night: featured classical music and Ghalib’s poetry, the night was lit up by the presence of Mr.Ayub Khawar (Director/Poet), Shah Nawaz Zaidi (Painter/Poet), Mujahid Hussain (Music Composer) and some rare young talent.

WEEKLY PROGRAMS (URDU CLUB) & SHORT FILM (2008-2009) Urdu Club: developed a creative concept to create a bridge between our youth and our prime heritage, our language Urdu. The 26 episode spell (2 Seasons) gave me the liberty to inculcate the magnificence of our language into our next generation. In every single episode one poet came to life as we discussed his poetry along with a documentary and to finish the proceedings off, one of his top ghazals was sung on live orchestra. Short Film: directed a short film “Rait Ka Ghar”, once I read a short story and was so hooked that I adapted it into a film shortly, wrote a screenplay as well. Paint Box: directed one season of this art driven thematic TV program, where an artist was seen at work, painting and playing with his tools. Researched and designed the art work, designed the visual style of each production whilst capturing major artists. (weekly , 13 Episodes) TALK SHOWS & INTERVIEWS (2007-2008) Sab Tujh Se Hai: directed a 23rd March Special Program featuring Retd. Justice Nasira Javed Iqbal, Abrar Ul Haq and members of the Youth Parliament. The show was all about national pride and unity and Abrar Ul Haq rocked all night with his patriotic songs. Green Media: produced a 3 episode program on 14th August where Media persons/ Anchors/ Writers and Celebrities talked about the growth of media in the recent years. SPECIAL PROGRAMS FOR ATV, A-PLUS RAMAZAN SPECIAL TRANSMISSION 2010, (DAILY AFTER SEHER AND AFTAAR , 30 EPISODES) Conceived, produced & directed a religious program “The Glorious Muslim History” reviving the golden periods of Muslim history. TRIBUTES TO OUR LEGENDS (30 MIN PROGRAMS) From 2007 to date I have been producing a special program every now and than, giving tribute to our legends. Here are some prominent names: Hamaray Quaid (Quiad E Azam),Sadat Hassan Manto, Ashfaq Ahmed, Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi, Noon Meem Rashid, Sufi Tabassum, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Majeed Amjad, Allama Iqbal.
