I think that all students should be held to the same academic standards and expectations as a student in other districts because when we have high academic standards then we can really bring out the best in all students and help them reach their full potential. In my belief, if we do not hold high expectations for our students, then the result of their education can be unfulfilling and unchallenging. When everyone has the same standards and expectations, then students, parents, teachers and staff know share common expectations of what students should know and be able to accomplish. Students will learn more when more is expected of them, in school and at home. These academic standards and expectations provide a baseline of what everyone across the nation should be learning and provides the opportunity for all to learn on the same level.
