» Undertakes all aspects of planning, resourcing, budgeting, scheduling and tracking for audits, ensuring a risk-based approach, completing working papers to relevant standards and documenting to support conclusions» Liaises with clients on audit timing, feedback and adjustments, discussing financial statements and other queries, organising and attending pre-audit and close out meetings » Trains, motivates and mentors diverse teams, promoting excellence and continuous improvement and driving efficiency with technology based tests such as IDEA » Contributes to staff planning, approves travel claims and handles internal performance appraisals and staff assessments for the Learner Tracking System applicable to SAICA trainees » Handles sensitive investigations as required and contributes to engagements and special reviews» Reports to management on control weaknesses, along with effects on the organisation and recommendations for improvement, discussing with relevant management in closeout meetings » Maintains detailed time records, working to a range of deadlines for deliverables and monitoring and controlling client satisfaction surveys for each audit » Performs statutory audits, compiling and reviewing annual financial statements and performing consolidations of private companies and listed entities » Computes company taxation for submission to South African Revenue Services
