Key Projects- Modernize Middleware (ORG): Upgrade the Tellabs product middleware to meet the business goals of lowering cost and supporting latest security standards. Evaluated a number of solutions, presented a compelling business case and convinced the stake-holders to go with the Open Source JACORB product. - JITC Certification for DoD: Strategic initiative to get JITC certification so that Tellabs products could be used within the Defense organizations. Used Certificate Management for creation and distribution, selected FIPS compliant SSL/TLS ciphers, added 2-way authentications to all inter-module communications, and replaced existing JAVA keystore with FIPS compliant NSS keystore- Database Migration: Replaced existing Berkeley DB with Oracle using a Database Abstraction Layer. Designed the database schema. Injected the new DAO layer in the existing code with minimal code changes- XGPON: This initiative increased the communication bandwidth to 10Gps upstream and downstream.- IPTV: Led the architecture and planning right from the Inception phase, built Use Cases and authored the Architecture Document- Craft Authentication Server (CAS): Led the effort to build a centralized Authentication System for Tellabs Network Elements (NE) – an embedded product- Embedded Projects Layer 2 Forwarding Database and Dynamic ARP Inspection: Led the effort to help prevent a man-in-the-middle attacks on the Network Element (NE) devices by locating a defective device using Forwarding Database Table LLDP Search: Implemented this feature on NE that acquired the LLDP status from the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) and parsed the status to find the matching entries Time Synchronization: Implemented NESync feature to keep time on NE in sync with assigned NTP server. Added several CLI commands to display profiles and ONT information in different formats
