Drakontas' flagship product is DragonForce - DragonForce is a mobile collaboration application that helps teams create and share information quickly, accurately and securely. DragonForces runs on iOS and Android devices - smartphones, tablets, cameras - and laptop/desktop browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE and Safari), and operates over a variety of mobile broadband networks (3G/4G/Wi-Fi/Sat). DragonForce's collaboration capabilities lead to an improved common operating picture and help make complex incidents faster, safer and more effective. DragonForce's capabilities include secure, real-time, group-based: personnel tracking on maps, collaborative whiteboards, digital forms, file/image sharing, text messaging, presence, and after-action reporting. DragonForce operational scenarios include day-to-day policing, security and campus safety & first responder operations, tactical and emergency response teams (SWAT, hazmat, search & rescue), or any operation requiring team coordination, communication and collaboration. DragonForce can support teams ranging from tens to thousands of users.

Projects in his department included consumer device-oriented peer-to-peer communication platforms and protocols, iDTV (OCAP/MHP) middleware, mobile-to-home access and control protocols, Java instant messaging and presence APIs and secure Linux. Significant management achievements: defined and planned new projects and secured project funding from corporate management in Japan, managed intellectual property generation and positioning of IPR in standards and/or as differentiating features; established leadership positions in standards bodies and developed industrial collaborations in order to improve success of projects; established academic partnerships with universities worldwide in order to accelerate development of IPR; created outsource development teams in Russia and Ukraine; improved lab's performance management program by creating new appraisal procedures that rewarded excellence and stimulated achievement of globally significant and globally recognizable results.

Led design and development of department’s first introductory Java course, including lecture topics, laboratory exercises and tutorial topics.

Designed and developed analysis tools for electronic mail and voice mail systems; these tools increased the reliability of HP's e-mail systems and were integrated into the HPMail product. Developed and taught electronic mail technical support classes at HP divisions worldwide; these classes trained HP technical staff to better manage HP’s e-mail network.
