Harvested and cultured rat cortical neurons for traumatic brain injury (TBI) simulation and analysis using cultured axonal injury (CAI). Developed a technique to visually isolate an individual axon using fluorescent viral infection in order to study its Ca2+ content and mitochondrial migration. Wrote Matlab functions for axon counting and Ca2+ spike tracking.

Conducted a survey of five different types of B-cell lymphoma to identify mutational patterns in the IgH gene and their diagnostic and prognostic applicability. Assay involved primer design, polymerase chain reaction, gel electrophoresis, PCR product purification, gel purification, and Sanger sequence analysis. Designed, maintained, and analyzed database of over 400 samples.
