Hi, my name is Alkim Dato and I’m a superintendent with South Coast Improvement/Quad Coatings. I pursued a B.S. in Business Administration with a focus in sales and graduated December, 2020. I was proud to be a part of Plymouth’s nationally recognized award winning sales program. Spring of 2015, I left Plymouth State, which proved challenging but ultimately allowed me to gain a greater sense of direction with my life. I joined the military and continued my studies, taking online courses pending my return to Plymouth. Early in my military career, I held multiple leadership roles through which I developed the key skills I was missing. These skills ultimately translated into my academic career and proved deeply beneficial. I learned how to look at projects in their entirety and understand scope. With leadership also came learning to execute. Teamwork was, and is still, an integral part of my everyday life whether it was working on a project on base or working in the city for my company. The most important skill I was taught throughout my training was how to be driven. I’m constantly trying to diversify my portfolio and better myself for the future.
