I'm passionate about programming and data science, driven by a relentless curiosity to explore new technologies and programming languages and to continually expand my skill set.Over two decades, I've cultivated a diverse range of experiences across various domains:* Modelling fish distributions in changing environmental conditions * Forecasting and providing scientific advice on fishing quotas* Modelling human locomotion* Designing and implementing the back-end and front-end of web applications I've had the privilege of tackling challenging problems and making meaningful contributions. I really enjoy maintaining and contributing to open-source software projects. Additionally, I always work closely with end users and stakeholders, enabling me to identify their needs and build tailored solutions.My specialties include problem solving, quickly picking up new programming languages and mastering modern developing techniques such as git, CI/CD, software testing. I have worked with R, Python, Javascript, (MS/My/Postgre)SQL, MongoDB, bash, PHP, Express.js, React, Node.js, HTML/CSS, Matlab, C#, C, LaTeX, AWS, Heroku, Docker and R-shiny. I only use Linux if I can help it. I have played and experimented with many others such as Go, deep learning with TensorFlow and PyTorch, Lua, Elixir, Kubernetes, and Typescript.
