Environmental Manager responsible for all facets of the Environmental program for Vectrus/V2X, which was the primary maintenance contractor for Guantanamo Bay Naval Base. Major programs responsible for included spill response cleanup, hazardous waste management, and hazardous material management. Also, performed oversight of stormwater, wastewater treatment, and pest control programs as well as oversight of new landfill operations. Reported directly to the Project Director.

Senior Environmental Scientist responsible for development and implementation of an Environmental Management System (EMS) for the U.S. Army Kwajalein Atoll (USAKA) installation base maintenance contractor. Other responsibilities included ensuring compliance with the USAKA Environmental Standards and preparing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation for various projects at the installation. Assumed a lead role in proposing changes to the USAKA Environmental Standards and negotiating with regulatory agencies. Job required Secret Clearance.

Responsible for managing environmental programs, including hazardous waste, waste water, fuel storage tanks, spill response and PCB elimination at 5 collocated (U.S./Korean) Air Force bases in South Korea.Provided oversight of environmental programs at air bases and advised U.S. Air Force command of status/concerns. Worked with Korean contractors at air bases and provided them training as needed. Prepared environmental plans/procedures and assisted in obtaining budget to fund programs.

Served as Environmental Services Branch Manager responsible for hazardous waste and hazardous material management, spill response team, and service support to 7 U.S. military bases through out Kuwait. Promoted to Environmental Department Manager after one year, which expanded my responsibilities to all environmental programs, including developing environmental policies and advising U.S. military command on status of programs/concerns.

Worked at the Umatilla Chemical Agent Disposal Facility as the permitting manager. Served as the primary interface with Oregon and EPA regulators on construction, startup, and operation of the facility, including incorporating new design/operating procedures, developing trial burn test plans, and obtaining new permits. Advised management and US. Army representatives of issues and served as the cost account manager for permitting activities.

Worked at the Johnston Atoll Chemical Agent Disposal Facility as the permitting and compliance manager. Served as the primary interface with EPA regulators on systemization, testing, and operation of the facility, including incorporating new design/operating procedures, developing trial burn test plans, and obtaining new permits. Conducted environmental inspections and prepared annual environmental compliance reports, which were required to be submitted to the EPA. Advised management and US. Army representatives of issues.

Developed and managed air quality monitoring, clean up, and hazardous waste programs for surface coal mining through out the U.S., primarily in the west. Responsibilities included installation and operation of equipment, and obtaining permits and funding.

Air quality engineer responsible for installation, operation, and maintenance of air quality monitoring stations for proposed and existing coal power plants through out the western portion of the U.S.

Performed power plant air emission testing, conducted upper atmospheric studies, and operated ambient air monitoring stations at various locations in U.S.

Served in the U.S. Navy as the Division officer for the Boiler and Engine crews on the USS Nashville. Placed the ship into commission and under went sea trials and training of the crew.
