I am a retail and sales professional, I have over 30 years’ experience in the industry. Account management and development are my forte.During my career I have worked with 2 highly respected and successful national companies. Starting with the Best and Less Group from entry level, I enjoyed career and personal success filling Branch Manager roles in 3 states with an emphasis on “start-up” branches and thriving on the challenges that retail presents. (I stayed with the company for 15 years.) I had a career change when I joined Reece Plumbing in 2005 This gave me the opportunity to further my retail and management skills including the opportunity to build relationships with key customers. I also gained experience and great satisfaction being involved in commercial, industrial and residential projects from the initial concept and quote phase, through to handover and ongoing maintenance. With a current staff of 6, but with previous workforces of up to 50, I have wide range experience and capabilities in all fields of Branch Management and business management in general. These include market analysis, business development, sales forecasting, budget setting, inventory management and monitoring branch performance and achievements against established budget requirements. Included in all of the above is staff management and rostering along with wage and budget constraints, recruitment, staff development and employee diversity. I have a passion for staff development. My genuine desire is to assist people to upskill and get the most from their employment. I believe that leadership is not about being the best, but about making everyone around me better. My satisfaction comes when the whole team achieves together. I value a work life balance, and like to spend time with my wife and children as well as friends and extended family. To that end, I strive to ‘leave it all on the field’, so that I can enjoy and appreciate the down time.
