Recent Ministry of Defence (MoD) challenges have meant there was a requirement for an in-year saving of £0.25m whilst still delivering a number of key strategic training and operational objectives for ~650x employees. Responsible for the career management and professional development of 8x Middle Managers and 20x Junior Managers with the aim of promoting organisational resilience across a number of projects. Project managed (Full Life Cycle) a wide range of multi-disciplined engineering tasks for example: provided emergency response military engineering to a number of areas affected by severe flooding in the UK. There was a requirement to work closely with local communities, the police, fire and ambulance services at various levels of command (Silver and Bronze). Whilst deployed in Kenya, project managed the delivery of a broad range of critical infrastructure: operations and command centre, medical facilities, accommodation and perimeter security. Was directly responsible for ~£1.5m of specialist military engineering equipment that included project scheduling, maintenance, delivery of health and safety training all whilst operating within a broad range of complex Government and MoD regulations.Operational Experience: OPERATION HERRICK 8 and 13.• Solely responsible for the End-to-End execution of a high profile engineering project ~£0.5m in a multinational context. Overcame logistic, security and contractor management issues to deliver successful projects on time and within budget in incredibly austere and remote environments.• Responsible for the maintenance and operational effectiveness of specialist military engineering equipment valued at ~£10m.• Provided close military engineering support to Operation Eagle Summit: a multinational force comprising ~5000x employees transported a 51MW turbine that was designed to bring electricity to ~1.5m people from south to north Afghanistan.

This is to test the physical fitness, determination and mental robustness of the soldier under conditions of stress, to determine whether an individual has the self-discipline and motivation required for service with Airborne Forces.After successfully completing P Company training, attended the Basic Parachute Course and trained in basic parachute skills. On completion of eight descents, qualified to wear the coveted Wings.• The Role:Parachute Engineers train and serve alongside the Air Assault Brigade and are trained to be deployed by air and land either by parachute, helicopter or aircraft. They are equipped with light engineering equipment and deliver the full range of engineering skills on the battlefield.
