With over 23 years of experience in engineering across New Zealand and internationally, I’m passionate about the endless opportunities for learning and growth that this field offers. Engineering has been my lifelong journey, with each day bringing new challenges and insights.I began my career right after high school, studying Fabrication and welding at the Fiji Institute of Technology (now Fiji National University). My hands-on experience started as a Welder and fabricator at a general engineering company in Fiji. In 2007, I moved to New Zealand and pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Open Polytechnic, where I spent four years honing my skills.I’ve been fortunate to contribute to various exciting projects throughout my career. A standout experience was overseeing the dry docking of the Interislander Cook Strait ferry in Singapore, which was technically challenging but immensely rewarding.In the construction industry, I served as QA Manager at Welding & Engineering Ltd in Christchurch. I also gained valuable experience in industrial engineering, particularly in FMCG, working as a Maintenance Planner at Talley’s in Ashburton.I’m currently the Operations Manager at Tectonus, where we focus on cutting-edge seismic protection technologies. I’m dedicated to driving operational excellence and innovation within the team and ensuring that our products help make buildings safer and more resilient.As an engineer, I’m always learning and evolving. I look forward to continuing to push boundaries in my work and contributing to the advancement of the engineering industry.
