RTR Energy Solutions July 5th 2016 to Present2016 started working for RTR Energy Solutions working on Constructability. Going out in the field and looking at jobs that will be constructed in about a year or so from now. Writing up document and power point with pictures from out in the field on the work to be performed. Putting in the access roads, pull pads, work pads at pole sites, road crossings, hot line crossings, stream crossings, rail road track crossing on a KMZ file from google earth. Writing out the outage sequence CWOS for the work to be done. Drawing up the one lines that will go hand in hand with the CWOS. I am in constant communication with transmission design engineers to environmental engineers. Also, communicating with PM, s, Cs on the jobs. Also calling out concerns & hazards That the contractors might come upon during construction. Thinking outside the box on some areas where you might have to build a shoefly with temporary poles to bypass a section of line because of issues in getting a section of line out.

PPL Electric Utilities Sept.27th 1984 to May 1st 2016From 1984 to 2000 was in the Transmission dept. as a transmission Lineman Helper. In the beginning, it was helping and learning (on the job training) the various work methods of line work from tying knots, working in buckets with a qualified lineman, patching for the operator building roads, digging hole to set poles, sleeving out conductors, unclipping to get ready to pull conductors, rigging out to cut in dead ends, sagging conductors with a qualified lineman, setting pole, patrolling the lines, to clearing brush and tree trimming and cutting. Qualified to operate bronto, condors, spacer buggies, various bucket and digger trucks. Operating tensioners for wire pulls and sagging wires. Did hot line tool work method replacing poles, arms, insulators and opening and closing loops out of buckets and off hooks. Worked on 69kv to 500kv lines from pole replacements, build new pole lines, reconductored 230kv lines to relocating 500kv lines at the 500 yard and changing out 500kv dead end bells. Driving the spacer buggy on 500KV lines removing old spacers & installing new spacers. Also, overseen contractors working on PPL property from line crews to fiber optics splicers. . From 2000 to 2005 went to the distribution dept. as a journeyman lineman. Worked on 7.2kv and 12kv lines. 2005 promoted to a lineman leader. Directing crews, setting up jobs for the day for all crews at service center, reconductoring lines, work on the UG system pulling in UG primary and service wires. Worked out of the service areas for various storms in other utilities around the country. In 2016 retired from PPL Electric Utilities.
