I've transitioned to Upstate Images because of their guiding philosophy of "Photography First." I share their idea that high-volume school photography can be visually exceptional, and then the sales will follow suit. I'm proud to work among SPOA award-winning photographers, and I'm pushing myself to grow to that level of expertise here, too.

For the length of a 5-month touring season, I focus on photographing dance competitions across the country for Headliners. My role involves the meticulous load-in and load-out of stage rigging, then expertly setting up media rack systems and running cables. Adept at capturing the essence of each routine, I produce dynamic photos consistently, and then B-roll content in rotation, getting an engaging visual record of the performances. When I'm not taking on photo duties, I could man video on the Blackmagic camera, for the livestream, audience monitors, and for client viewing after. Additionally, I play a key role in managing incoming media and collaborate closely with the team to coordinate smooth, entertaining competitions however it's needed in the fast-paced whirlwind they can be.

I assist with all aspects of event experience at Beloved Entertainment, but my main duties are:- Stage Hand: Set up and operation of lighting, trusses, and technical equipment for immersive audiovisual experiences- Photo Booth Attendant: Manage both digital and classic print photo booth experiences.- Assistant DJ: Supporting professional DJs in creating seamless, high-energy music experiences.- Event Technology Specialist: Assisting with innovative features like synced LED dancefloors, dynamic projections, and cold spark fountains.- AV TechnicianMy role has the potential for growth into social media management and event photography as I establish myself.

I took charge to ensure the seamless execution of picture days. As a team lead, I kept a cohesive group by training new photographers, imparting essential skills, and resolving any team conflicts. My role required me to capture a high volume of photographs, ranging from individual yearbook portraits to group photos. I coordinated picture day schedules with schools and the photography crew, strategically managing timelines for efficiency. I troubleshooted technical problems and meticulously maintained an inventory of all photography equipment.

I was responsible for assembling, calibrating, and utilizing a photo studio on location to capture personalized senior photoshoot packages. I honed my knowledge of studio lighting and experimented with posing. Beyond individual portraits, I also photographed school events like proms, graduation ceremonies, and various after-school gatherings, contributing to the client's yearbook. Outside of these events, I was responsible for studio photoshoots on larger packages within our local Buffalo office.

I traveled to and shot sporting events across Western New York for use in coaching and recruitment reels. Over my time with ThumbsUp, I shot footage of over 30 live sporting events.

I worked as a licensed insurance sales representative taking high call volumes across several states. Each day involved active listening, tailoring insurance policies, and engaging the customer toward a tailored sale. I gained confidence in my pitch and business acumen.

I recorded stage performances while a director coached. Unfortunately, my time here was cut short with the pandemic, but it made me realize even more how much I like working in media.

Over the course of a year, I was lead writer and producer of an instructional video series introducing online students to the staff and services offered to them through the Office of Special Sessions. From the initial planning stages to the post-production, I wrote copy, coordinated relevant interviews, animated motion graphics, edited content, and recorded voiceover for these videos to help their students understand the department they'd use to succeed.

I scripted, recorded, and edited promotional packages with Adobe Audition to be played on-air.
