I was responsible for managing a team of technical field resource on a high profile program of DMA/PMA validation worth over £1m. The success of the project lead to an increase in validation activities in Thames Water and assisted with the development of additional activities such as partitioning and step testing. The role demanded strong leadership skills and the ability to provide technical support on complex water networks under demanding conditions. Whilst also ensuring all works conformed to current best practices and health and safety.

I carried out a full range of leakage detection and DMA/PMA validation activities. I was initially employed as an assistant technician and was promoted within a short time. I was often called upon to cover the supervisor where I demonstrated my leadership abilities to good effect.
