Helped to establish new lending policies, and to adjudicate commercial leases in a small but growing portfolio of automobile and equipment leases. Worked with sales to develop new broker relationships.

Responsible for credit oversight for two subsidiaries (WS Leasing Ltd. and Mercado Capital Corporation). Co-ordinated operational controls between all departments (credit, sales, administration, collections) and was the key contact for third party providers such as Dealertrack, Decisioning Solutions, Canada Black Book, as well as industry advocacy groups such as CFLA and the various provincial licensing boards and regulators. Westminster Savings Key Leader award winner in 2008 for contributions in integrating Mercado subsidiary, and for work in converting to full electronic scanning and storage. WS Leasing Ltd. was named Department of the Year in 2012 after contributing $4.9 million in profits to the credit union.

Managed a credit staff of 3, and was involved in establishing online portals with Curomax and Dealer Access. Worked closely with sales staff and broker network to expand the Commercial Fleet portfolio, and the Equipment portfolio, as well as the expansion into Alberta and Ontario. Consistently exceeded growth, profitability, and delinquency/write off targets

Responsible for maintaining key customer relationships in Western Canada after regional operations were centralized in Toronto. Also performed field examinations for Asset Based Lending portfolio in Western Canada. Completed remittance tests, deposit reviews, inventory valuations, and formulated loan workouts recommendations including repossessions, storage, and litigation.

Managed the BC branch of 6 account managers and 1 receptionist during the transition from ITT Commercial Finance to Deutsche Financial Services. Prepared operational reports and regional compliance reports for head office and OSFI regulators. Retained credit responsibility for all Industrial and RV accounts for Western Canada, while all other regional offices centralized credit functions to head offices in Toronto.

Managed a portfolio of approximately 300 dealerships from BC to Thunder Bay, Ontario with a diverse product line including RV's, motorcycles, automobiles, industrial equipment, computers, and consumer electronics. Supervised a credit staff of 3, and maintained minimal write offs while attaining record growth for four straight years. Was part of management team that received the ITT's President's Award of Excellence from 1993 to 1996. Was also nominated for the Harold S. Geneen Unique Team Achievment Award in 1992 for its record turnaround from 1991 to 1992.

A national wholesale floorplan inventory financing company with offices covering the entire US and Canada, with a regional Western Canada office based in Richmond, BC. Progressive positions from Account Manager to Credit Analyst to Assistant Credit Manager. Helped to establish internal procedure manuals, credit policies, beta testing for in-house automated credit scoring software (ECS-Expert Credit Scoring). Worked with government agencies and internal and external legal counsel for the introduction of PPSA legislation in both BC and Alberta, and subsequently was involved in the negotiation of all priority agreements in Western Canada.
