As a professional lawyer, I make my living communicating. My style is to place emphasis on clarity, precision and accuracy, always striving to meet client objectives. The combination of my studies has developed my expertise in the analysis of systems and processes; my environmental science degree focused on ecology, ecosystems, geographic information systems and studying law focuses on legal systems.Every file on my desk is a problem, project, or obstacle in my client’s life and each one requires a solution. The process of continually solving problems has ingrained the habit of providing practical solutions to meet client specifications.I’ve been told that my strength is my ability to handle challenging problems, and I can “see the forest and the trees”. My colleagues turn to me for support and guidance, as they know I’m able to quickly understand their problems and offer reasonable and practical advice. My experience as a provincial rowing coach and national and internationally certified umpire has provided ample opportunities to hone the skills of leading in a team environment. My goal is to play a role in management in order to utilize my leadership and analytical skills in the management of an organization.
