I am a Principal Lecturer following a research track on wellbeing outcomes through contemporary leisure experiences. I work collaboratively with research teams to investigate key aspects relating to sociological, psychological and physiological wellbeing.Previously I have developed undergraduate and post graduate degree programmes, in Tourism, Hospitality, and Events Management. I have extensive experience in festival and events research and has developed networks locally, regionally and nationally to enhance the linkages between the events courses at the University and the practitioner communities. Previous to this he has taught across the academic fields of; Tourism, Events, Hospitality, Sports, and Leisure Management at the University of Derby, UK, and led the top-up degree programme in International Tourism Management for Bournemouth University in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. More recently he has developed and led Events Management degree programmes at the University of Northampton.Prior to and during my academic career I have also enjoyed a varied career in the hospitality, tourism, and events industry ranging across hotel, sports, conferences, and community festivals in the UK and the USA.
