R. Allan Lougheed, AIA, CSI, CDT, is the co-owner of Lougheed Resource Group, Inc. (LRG), a consulting firm that specializes in minimizing risk and resolving problems and disputes for all aspects of construction projects. LRG has provided expert services on over 1,900 projects since its inception in 1992. Allan received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee. He is a licensed architect in FL, GA, CT and AR; a Florida licensed contractor; and was certified as a building inspector by ICC (formerly SBCCI). He was previously employed by two Orlando architectural firms, as a director of construction and design for a major development company, and as a assistant manager of resorts planned work for the Walt Disney Company. Allan is a member of the American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Board, Construction Specifications Institute, International Code Council, American Concrete Institute, ASTM International, National Fire Protection Association, American Architectural Manufacturing Association, and the Architectural Woodworking Institute. Allan is also on multiple ASTM committees for the development of standards for building construction including such aspects as EIFS, stucco, roofs, sealants, waterproofing, and other building envelope components.
