For over 30 years, I have handled complex transactions in the United States, Canada, Latin America, Asia and Europe with an aggregate value of over $100 billion.Focused on energy and infrastructure project finance and development, my practice encompasses private equity, corporate strategy, joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions, acquisition finance, capital markets, private placements, international and cross-border business transactions, public-private partnerships, banking and regulatory matters, construction and engineering, environmental permitting, technology, and a wide range of commercial contracts.I am a Senior Fellow at the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment (CCSI), a joint center of Columbia University’s Law and Climate Schools. I have taught for over 15 years at the University of California, Berkeley Law School and Haas School of Business and will also teach a clean energy transactions course at UCLA Law School starting in Spring 2025.I created and host the podcast “Law, Policy & Markets: Milbank Conversations” to explore at a deeper level how law, policy and markets dynamically intersect around the globe.
