Welcome! My name is Allana (pronounced as Al-ya-na). I’m best presented as bicultural, having immigrated from the Philippines to the US in 2016, is a personal life course that shaped how I develop and contribute to my current involvement in mental health and learning community. With a background in BA Psychology and experience in COVID-19 service for a diverse elderly population, I promote health, autonomy, community, relationships, and meaning for a fulfilling human experience.I am currently building my credentials in Mental Health Counseling from Seattle University, WA. My style is rooted in creativity, authenticity, resilience, awareness, multiculturalism and eclecticism. My passion for mental health, harm reduction (particularly substance use), education, leadership, collaboration, and relationship building are inspired by the hope for sustaining healthy quality connections and belonging.I aim to serve communities that have low socioeconomic status, immigrants, people of color, and those who are struggling with mental health. I also aspire to teach developing future counselors and do research in psychedelic psychoeducation, crisis work, integrative methods and interventions.
