Development Manager for Operation System (OS) and Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) development, including subcontracting management.A combined Project- and line management position with responsibility for Project delivery, quality, usability, budget, employees, and subcontractors. Multiple projects and team sizes between 10 and 50 engineers. My responsibility was to set up a Project strategy / Roadmap, Project plan, risk management, coordinate with stakeholders, and coordinate the Software development of the Operating System and Hardware Abstraction Layer for smart cards and mobile phones, in the different iterations throughout the entire life cycle process. Also to set-up KPI/OKR’s to track progress, quality, and costs, optimizing performance of teams and feedback to subcontractors on performance and quality. Part of the project was made by external development teams at subcontractors in Europe and Asia. Teams were using agile principles and test-driven development.

My responsibility was to coordinate the Software development of an embedded operating system (the platform) and to coordinate the test activities for Software packages (Applications) on the Airbus A350 program. This includes integration and delivery of Software in the different iterations through the entire life cycle process. Part of the Software development is subcontracted to development teams located in India.
