I am currently a researcher and lecturer on Computer Science Department, with interests on Distributed Computing, Networking, Blockchains and so on.Member of the Computer Science Board of the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Bahia (FAPESB) since 2015. Technical Coordinator of the Metropolitan Network of Salvador, an initiative of Community Networks of Education and Research (Redecomep) since 2005. Director of Research, Graduate Studies and Innovation at Campus de Salvador of IFBA since November 2015. I have been involved in the implementation and consolidation of stricto sensu graduate programs at the IFBA, being a professor of the Graduate Program in Engineering Systems and Products (PPGESP-IFBA) and Associate Professor of the Graduate Program in Mechatronics at UFBA (PPGM). Involved in several Applied Research and Development projects at IFBA, especially in collaboration with RNP and UFBA, and in the team of the Innovation Pole of the IFBA, accredited as Polo EMBRAPII. General Chair of SBRC 2016, member of local committee of CBA 2006, of SBIA / SBRN / JRI 2008, and of ERBASE 2015, and Coordinator of ERAD-NE in 2013, 2015 and 2017. I worked in IT Department of IFBA (previously known as CEFET-BA), managing developing and networking teams and taking care of a multicampi academic IT infrastructure. Also, during this period I were technically responsible for deliver a huge academic metropolitan network at Salvador city (REMESSA).

I was responsible for IT Security of all University (community of +30000 users), managing firewall, IDS systems, routers and so on.

I was professor of former Faculdade Ruy Barbosa in several subjects on Computer Science major.

I was a Teacher Assistant ("professor substituto") in some subjects in Computer Science department.

I worked as a Network Administrator responsible for deploy a full IT infrastructure, including internet, intranet and application servers, router interconnections, firewalls, database administration etc.
