Along with overseeing a staff of 330 individuals spread out across many departments (see Summary), I engaged on several boards: Valley Communication (911 call center); SCORE (South Correctional Entity) jail; Puget Sound Regional Council growth management; Economic Development Council of Seattle & King County; Cascade Water Alliance and I appoint personnel to local civic boards and commissions. As CEO, I am moving the city in a direction towards better engagement with technology, and have hired a Fire Chief and IT Director. I am also working hard to stay in tune with the needs of our local citizens. To that end I started a police initiative to calm traffic in our residential neighborhoods, while placing more emphasis on code enforcement and bringing mobile technology to the residents so they can be the eyes and ears of the City. In addition, I work closely with the schools and local charitable organization to provide support to our families in need. Show less
