More than half of the management team in the unit turned over in short period of time, which created the opportunity to implement change and process improvements. In addition to leading a team of up to 15 Claims Adjudicators and Associate Claims Adjudicators in the processing of agricultural risk management claims, I worked to standardize quality reviews and reporting. Using SQL, Microsoft Excel and VBA, I have been able to create and deliver consistent, meaningful reporting, measuring departmental metrics, tracking individual quantitative performance, and the breakdown of payments by commodity.I have worked with cross-departmental teams to develop and create new programs which further benefit our customers. I have assisted with program design, helped to create SOP's for the implementation of the program, created approval templates for benefit approvals and provided reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. I have designed and delivered training to adjudicators and provided feedback through quality reviews and coaching.In leading staff, I believe in providing the support and tools they need, but allowing them to learn and find processes and methods that work for them.
