He now serves as the founder of a fiduciary consulting practice for non-profits, foundations and endowments. In addition, Allan is an analyst for CEFEX, the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence. In each of these capacities, Allan, along with a renowned team of experienced fiduciaries, helps investment stewards better understand their financial responsibilities, how to minimize risk and how to ensure proper due diligence is taken in the organization.Prior to his consulting practice, Allan founded and led Smart Investor, a boutique wealth management firm based in Roseville, California. He continues to participate as Chairman of the Board upon the firm’s acquisition by Sloy, Dahl, & Holst, Inc. in 2016. Allan was a student of the University of California, Davis, where he received a BA degree in Political Science. He also attended the McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, where he received a Juris Doctorate, Law. A former attorney, Allan has worked with individual and institutional clients throughout the United States. He has drawn upon his legal and financial experience to help clients meet their monetary objectives while legally reducing potential tax liabilities and protecting their estate values.
