Patent Portfolio Manager & Intellectual Property Review Board (IPRB) Chairman (former). Primary attorney for technology/IP license agreements in multi-billion dollar lines of business including Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), Applied Research, and Sensors and Global Sustainment (S&GS). Create and implement the IP Strategy Plan for billion-dollar lines of business. Draft intellectual property policies including trade secret and patent policies. Negotiate and draft IP agreements including Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs), NDAs, university research agreements, and joint venture agreements. Counsel clients on intellectual property issues including FAR/DFARS technical data rights, patents, copyrights, trade secrets, FOSS, software end user license agreements (EULAs), contract IP terms and conditions, proprietary information agreements, IP infringement claims/defenses, and IP mining. Perform IP due diligence for mergers and acquisitions activity. Provide training to engineers, contracts/subcontracts staff, paralegals, and executive leadership on IP issues.
