Main role involves designing and fabricating fixtures, jigs and tools to meet the process and product requirements such as functionality, usability and product quality. Had recently assigned as NPI Engineer which facilitates the transition from development to production.- Design and fabricate fixtures and jigs to be used for both prototype builds and series production. - Create solid models and technical drawings using Solidworks.- Manages in process development including prototype builds (process and tooling evaluation)- Interact with local and global suppliers for the fabrication of parts and assemblies.- Manages Bill of materials.- Provides engineering solutions to technical issues during design and test phases.- Conducts trainings and provide process work instructions for Production team.- Initiates cost reduction efforts in production related optimization.- Technical interface between engineering, electrical, optical and R&D teams.- Supports equipment team with new production equipment and machine programming.- NPI tasks such as process optimization and production line preparation.
