The key focus of this role was leadership to specialist services and programs tailored specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria. Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and be accountable for implementation of targeted educational programs as part of the Wannik Education Strategy and early childhood initiatives for Koorie children and young people- Liaise with schools and regional officers to identify and access support mechanisms for Koorie students- Provide expert advice to school communities and kindergartens about models of effective support for Koorie children and young people.- Refer Koorie students onto support agencies if need be

Permanent position- Koorie Intensive Support; - Youth Justice VPS Level 3Key Responsibilities:- Support young people from the Youth Justice system and the Children's Court (on deferral of sentence status) who are at high risk of breaching bail and/or re-offending and are deemed likely to be remanded in custody- Case manage and refer clients onto support agencies- Engage clients back into education, training or employment- Advocate for Koorie clients when representing them in court
