Chief Financial Officer & Director Of Advancement
Currently on medical leave (Long Term Disability (LTD))As the Chief Financial Officer, I oversee the management of all financial, administrative and legal objectives of the organization. My role also includes the management of all human resource related functions including payroll and benefits administration, contributing as a member of the marketing and admissions team, overseeing all IT requirements, and leading the charity's fundraising efforts including the coordination of an annual fundraising dinner and auction. As the facility continues to grow I oversee the construction and renovation projects from initial concept and design through to completion and occupation. In 2017, I was appointed with the additional responsibilities of Director of Advancement. In this role, I coordinate and facilitate the Academy’s mission in the areas of advancement services, donor stewardship, fundraising, alumni and stakeholder relations.I keep abreast of all government and municipal acts, regulations, and codes as they pertain to employment standards, occupational health and safety, wastewater and safe drinking water management, Canadian Revenue Agency guidelines relating to taxation, remittances, and the Charity Directorate.

Other positions held - Vice Chair, member of the Board Audit and Risk Management Committee, and the Board Governance Committee.

Served in the role of Section Second in Command, Section Commander, and Duty NCO while in Cyprus, interacting directly with members of opposing countries' military forces as well as with members of the community.Awards: United Nations Peacekeeping Forces in Cyprus (UNFICYP), Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal (CPSM), Canadian Decoration (CD)
