About Allan Moore
I am an Associate Professor of Criminology at the University of West London (UWL), where I am currently the school lead for academic partnerships and course leader for the MA Criminology. Previously I have acted as the interim head of subject for criminology and forensic science. I also lead for the UWL 'Justice and Society' research cluster. Externally I am an external examiner for the LLB Law at University of Westminster. Previously I have held a number of other external examining posts: Chief External for London Southbank University (LLB Law) De Montfort University (LLM International Law, and LLM International Human Rights Law); Glasgow Caledonian University (LLB Law); Robert Gordon University (LLB Law), and beginning over a decade ago as external examiner for LLB Law, LLB Law with French, and LLB European Legal Studies at (again) University of Westminster. From 2007-22 I held various academic posts at University of the West of Scotland (UWS), including programme leader and lecturer in criminology. Earlier in my career I was a lecturer in law for approximately seven years.My published work was submitted as part of the UWS REF 2021 submission. Published work I have authored has included subjects such as:- Comparative justice systems- Court Architecture and Environment- Genocide and Mass Atrocities - The Arts, Culture and Justice - Peace and Security Studies- Media influence on attitudes and behaviours - Restorative Justice - Transitional Justice- Reintegration of perpetrators of violence to society - Terrorism and Counterterrorism - Organised Crime- Gangs My initial PhD was on intersections of Law, Criminology, Architecture and Psychology.
