Continued time at Defence with APS position within Lethality and Survivability Team, Diggerworks, CASG.

Undertook dual industry placement/research scholarship program across the Multifunctional Materials Team, Defence Science and Technology Group and Diggerworks, Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group. Key achievements include:- Led research project into sovereign capability for armour manufacture. Collaborated with industry to develop novel ballistic material and testing methodology using ultra-high-speed imagery and digital image correlation. Established strong relationships with defence industry members to support future research. - Presented results of research at Diggerworks/DST Technology Web Series to audience of 200+ APS, military and industry personnel.- Coordinated large-scale environmental and ballistic program for introduction into service of dismounted personnel protective equipment. Managed synchronisation of complex DEF-STAN environmental protocols and ensured adherence to DEF(AUST) standards.- Collaborated directly with user community and industry to develop, test and deliver ancillary that enabled better integration of electronic and communication systems with in-service equipment.- Selected to present research at DSTEM Conference 2021.

Supported the Melbourne Space Program’s second planned satellite launch from a regulatory viewpoint, coordinating industry collaboration and ensuring compliance of the planned launch.

Managed multidisciplinary sub-team of ten students with backgrounds spanning business, arts, legal and engineering faculties. Volunteered within the Monash Solar Decathlon Team to develop net-zero energy crisis accommodation for victims of domestic violence, with building designs to be submitted to the US Department of Energy Solar Decathlon Competition.

Collaborated with domestic-violence organisation Kara House to design net-zero energy refuge, with personal responsibilities including the calculation of the building’s projected embodied environmental impact. Awarded 3rd place in the 2020-21 US Department of Energy Solar Decathlon Challenge.

Worked with startup GreenDynamic to transform the advanced material discovery process with bespoke AI technology. Ranked within Blackbird Wild Futures’ Top 10 student startups and finalist of the UNSW Peter Farrell Cup.

Worked within a multidisciplinary team of students, with specializations spanning law to engineering, to generate a White Paper for submission to the South Australian Space Industry Centre. Awarded the 2022 Emerging Space Pioneer Scholarship in recognition of efforts in the program.

Worked as a peer mentor within the Friends and Mentors in Engineering program to support and guide a group of 10 first-year engineering students in the transition to university life. Key aspects of the program include delivery of group presentations, academic advisory, and professional and appropriate referral to relevant support services.
