Over the last year I have completed an internship and continued to work at the Public Defender's Office in Leon County as an Investigator in the Misdemeanor Division. Overall, I can say that this experience has helped to make me a well-rounded individual. Working with the Public Defender’s office, I learned how to organize and maintain case files, keep a schedule, and meet trial deadlines. Before I moved to Florida I gained experience by assisting my Mother at her civil court reporting firm, Anthony Reporting for five years. Here I got experience proofreading transcripts, effectively running errands, and organizing files and receipts. In addition to being a recent graduate of Florida State University, I am also a member of Jackson Lodge #1 of Free and Accepted Masons. Currently I am working as a part-time assistant to the Lodge Secretary performing clerical duties. I bring with me three years experience in the Criminology field including a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, good investigative and communication skills, special attention to details, efficiency and productivity skills that I believe would make me an ideal candidate to work for your company. I am also proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Prior to attending Florida State University I obtained 10 years of experience in Horticulture. During this time I applied various agronomic, critical thinking, and budgeting principles to supervise others leading to the successful completion of projects. I feel that a job opportunity with your company would only strengthen my skills and prepare me for a career in law.
