Cornerstone Systems NW is a distributed team of talented software, analytic and technology craftsmen who work remotely and mostly within the United States. We communicate mainly online using productivity tools such as Slack, join.me, Skype and others with occasional in person meetings as well as client relation, technical and training trips.Most of my time has been spent with another colleague developing a mobile hybrid iOS app to support a larger critical desktop app with over 500 active users across the United States. With the use of Cordova (PhoneGap), various JavaScript libraries and the Backbone.js framework, we have developed and maintained a surprisingly fast data hungry mobile app for use on all iPad models. The performance of the app is due largely to our custom solutions which were widely pioneered.I have also had the opportunity to work on an emerging product code-base as well as taking part in branding and logo creation. Additionally, I helped re-vamp a legacy internal application while using visualization tools like D3.js.

The majority of my time spent at Implus was leading the mobile development of world-wide consumer applications for iOS and Android that supported Implus fitness products such as Bluetooth activity and heart rate monitors. These apps were the start of Implus' emerging mobile presence to meet consumer demands.Closely aligned with marketing and sales, I also spent a lot of time building and maintaining several consumer online stores for Implus brands such as New Balance and Perfect Fitness. In accordance with new sales tax guidelines for online stores, I had the luxury of learning and implemented the Avalara Sales Tax system to accurately calculate tax for our online checkout process.There was also a need for better sales reporting web applications which I spent most of my first few months working on. This was a challenging task that required a dynamic JavaScript feel without actually using JavaScript due to security concerns at the time. My solution included PHP and creative use of SVG rendering which worked out very well for the sales department. Lastly, I spent some time in a team learning and developing the Sage 500 and X3 ERP systems in anticipation of a large migration from 500 to X3.
