Scheduled for 1-week visit to Czech Republic to perform quality inspections and buy-offs of new tooling, followed by on-site project management at Mexico plant.* Rescued major project with scope of upgrading 15 obsolete servo units and their motors while upgrading safety controls to machine in which they were installed as senior EGA person onsite in Honda’s Alabama auto production plant. Resolved issue involving inability of new safety circuitry’s hardware in handling starting loads. Field engineered solution consisting of legacy parts and control logic program rewrite. Facilitated plant’s on-time restart with zero impact to scheduled production.* Oversaw installation of completely redesigned processes and production flows to Honda Automotive weld departments in western hemisphere. Introduced several new technologies incorporated within new equipment. Trained and introduced associates from EGA and production plants to new processes. Project spanned 4.5 years and included contributions from plants in Japan and Mexico.

Created new electrical and control systems designs, as well as modifications to existing designs. Wrote control software for HMIs, PLCs, and robotic equipment. Designed and over saw installation, configuration, and modifications to electrical supply/distribution equipment, tooling fixtures, and production machinery. Provided engineering technical support for other Honda entities. Develop machinery operating procedures and obtained supply information from company maintained technical archives.* Contributed software and control designs for tooling fixtures involving 16 different Honda and Acura models.* Spearheaded new design work for paint department process for applying sound deadener. Project introduced several new processes, technologies, and equipment to the department, Honda Motor Corporation, and North American industrial markets.* Introduced designs for new steel forming process, including introduction of Japanese developed technology to Honda's North American automotive production lines.* Ensured design documentation for production equipment conformed with Honda Motor Corporation specifications. Oversaw updating, editing, and cataloging of prints and schematics for machinery installed during welding department upgrade.* Designed controls and electrical power supply systems for multi-axis robotic tool positioning equipment. Replaced conglomeration of pneumatic cylinders controlling location prior to upgrades at 22 locations throughout production line at East Liberty auto plant over 8-month period. Executed with zero production interruptions.
