Responsible for the management of Environmental, Health and Safety programs at the Plattsburgh manufacturing facility. • Manage safety programs and associated documents. Including but not limited to: Lockout Tagout, Mobile Equipment, Fall Prevention/Protection, Machine Guarding, Electrical Safety, Fire Prevention, Inspections, etc.• Develop, evaluate and maintain effective health/safety policies and procedures to comply with corporate and regulatory requirements.• Conduct all safety-related incident investigations and report findings to other members of the site/corporate management teams.• Conduct safety training for all employees on a monthly basis and/or as required.• Lead and drive injury prevention initiatives.• Coach employees and leaders on safe work practices and safe work behaviors.• Conduct routing audits and inspections of EHS procedures and controls, recommending corrective action as needed in order to maintain and effective EHS programs.• Manage Workers Compensation Claims.• Manage facility environmental programs including scheduling, tracking, planning, sampling, and regulatory permitting to ensure corporate and regulatory compliance.• Coordinate environmental permit compliance and renewals.• Ensure effectiveness of site employee engagement programs such as Behavior Based Safety and employee lead EHS committees.• Manage and maintain effective relationships with vendors, service providers, customers and regulatory agencies.
