Honorably discharged after 7 years as U.S. Marine (Cryogenics Tech). After university I worked briefly researching and writing about large-scale, on-farm composting for Washington State Universities Bellingham Extension office. I have worked as fisheries observer in Alaska and on the West Coast as a lead observer since the end of 2008. I took over as the Washington and Oregon observer coordinator for the West Coast Observer program in November of 2002. My duties include coordinating the deployment of observers in the field, biological specimen processing, fish identification expert/trainer. I was also a data debriefer for the first 18 months in this position until we were able to add additional staff to take over.Specialties: Fish identification/ichthyology. Sampling design. Biosampling of fish species. I am proficient in Excel, Word, PDF, Powerpoint and have a working knowledge of Access and Oracle based database applications.
